The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream Review

Every time I go into The Body Shop, I have a sudden urge to buy something. I usually get some sort of product for my body, but this time I wandered over to the makeup section. I have been wanting a light skin product for summer because heavy makeup just sweats of my face, so I was looking for something quick and easy to apply. After spending what must have been an hour, I picked up this All-In-One BB Cream, I have used it a few times since I bought it and I do actually really like it. I got it in the colour 02 because I figured since it's summer my skin will become more tanned especially since I am going on holiday tomorrow. I think I will probably repurchase it in 01 for the winter because I am obsessed with it.

It's comes out of the tube giving you the impression that it's a cream but then, as if by magic,as you start to rub it into your face it turns into a BB Cream. It claims to be colour-adapting and I would agree with that to a certain extent, obviously if your really pale and you use the 03 shade its not going to match up to your skin tone, but the 02 matches mine pretty well.
In terms of coverage I would probably give it a 3 out of 10, but I don't really expect anything more because it feels so light on your skin and it honestly doesn't feel like you are wearing makeup at all. I feel like I should also tell you that it smells so good, I would try and explain it to you but I am not good with explaining smells, to me it just smells like a holiday!
Anyways I just felt like doing a short blog post today, I hope you don't mind. As usual if you have any questions just ask and I will try and answer. Have a nice day!

My Cupcake Recipe

At the weekend my parents had some friends over for an afternoon tea sort thing, we made little finger sandwiches and had tea in china cups, it was all very fancy, until my mum spilt boiling hot coffee on her leg and had to sit in the sink for twenty minutes to treat her scald, but lets not go into that (She was okay, don't worry). Basically I thought it would be a good idea to make some cupcakes for the tea party, I made up the ingredients as I went along, but they seemed to go down very well, so I thought I would share with you the recipe.

Ingredients

♡ 230g/8oz self-raising flour
♡ 230g/80z butter
♡ 230g/8oz caster sugar
♡ 2 eggs
♡ 2 tablespoons of milk
 Buttercream
♡ 350g/12oz icing sugar
♡ 270g/6oz unsalted butter
Makes 24

1.  Preheat the oven to 190C/375F/Gas mark 5 and put 24 cupcake cases in baking trays.
(The pink and blue cupcake cases I used are from Avon)

 2.  Add in the flour, sugar, butter, eggs and milk and mix them all together until it is a smooth consistency.

3.  The you will want to fill the cake cases with the mixture so they are about half to three quarters of the way full.

4.  Once they come out  of the  oven they should be golden on the top and spongy to touch, put them on a cooling rack to cool.

5.  Now for the fun part, mix the icing sugar and unsalted butter in a bowl. I find it is best to whisk the buttercream so its extra light and fluffy! Use any piping kit you have to pipe the buttercream onto the cakes, if you don't have a piper you can use a spoon to spread the buttercream, it still looks yummy.

 6.  This step is optional, I have this icing press that makes the icing look like little flowers. I am subscribed to the something sweet magazine and this came with an issue one week, but you can get them at many other places. (e.g. link) You just use the ready to roll icing and the little cutter that comes with the press.

7.  Decorate your cakes with whatever you want, I went for little sugar butterflies and on some of my other cakes I used wafer daises. Different coloured icing would be cool, so you could  experiment with that if you want to.

Now your done! Hope you enjoyed this blog post, remember you can always leave a comment if you have any questions!

My Daily Skin Routine

♡ Simple Kind to Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel

This is the first step I do every morning and night, I wash my face with warm water and then apply some of  my Simple kind to skin refreshing facial wash gel. I rub that  into my skin until it foams and then I wash it all off with more warm water. This usually takes all my makeup off but sometimes I will have to use some sort of makeup remover.

♡ No7 Beautiful Kind Blemish Defence Serum

I have a few blemishes on my skin from when I have had spots in the past and I only started using this about a month ago and I have noticed that they have faded, which is good. It makes my skin feel quite smooth as well and I just apply this after I have dried my face having applied my Simple Facial Wash.

♡ Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser
After my serum has fully dried I put on my moisturiser, I put about the size of a 2p on my hand and then rub that into my skin. It sets quite a nice dewy base for my makeup, its very hydrating and isn't too heavy either.

♡ Avon Conditioning Eye Makeup Remover
On a day to day basis I wear a waterproof mascara, the upside is that it doesn't budge all day but the downside is that it is really difficult to get off. This eye makeup remover is really oily but I think it has to be to remove the product. I just use some cotton wool or a cotton bud to make sure that I have definitely got all of my eye makeup off.

My Berry Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

In the summer I like having smoothies for breakfast, they are really refreshing and quite filling, you can find the ingredients in your fridge and if not you can swap out the ingredients out for something different.

You will need:
♡ 12 raspberries
♡ 6 sliced strawberries
♡ A handful of blueberries
♡ 1 banana
♡ 1 strawberry yoghurt
♡ 1/2 a glass of coconut water
♡ A few ice cubes

1. I put the raspberries, strawberries and blueberries into a blender and blend them together.
2. I add the banana and yoghurt, I used petit filous yoghurts, they are suppose to be for kids but I just really like them! Then I add them to the blended berries
3. I then slowly pour in the coconut water until my smoothie is the consistency I want.
4.The last thing I do is put in some ice in and enjoy!

There you have it, my yummy breakfast smoothie! If you have any blog post you would like me to do then feel free to write it in the comments. bye :)
